Mary Joseph

Mary Joseph is an Ordained United Church Minister, the former Mission Strategist for the Toronto United Church Council and Certified Spiritual Director. She specialises in New Church development. Currently Mary is the spiritual leader of Pathways, a new experimental emergent United Church community in Markham Ontario.
The Pathways Community is an eco-friendly community that is committed to exploring new ways to engage people in their faith journey. Through the use of multi-media and Internet technology Mary has developed a social networking system for the United Church of Canada Youth and currently is building an online live streaming ministry as part of the Church’s outreach ministry.
She is an expert in PowerPoint and Keynote presentations and the use of multi-media in worship.
Mary created the highly successful “Seekers Dialogue” series in 2004/2005, a six-part multi-media and mult-faceted sacred gathering series that drew over 4,000 people. The series featured reflections by various community leaders including Major General Romeo Dallaire and Stephen Lewis as well as original music, readings, prayers, and meditation. An anthology of the series was published titled Seeking the Sacred: Leading a Spiritual Life in a Secular World published by ECW press and available in bookstores everywhere.
